Professional nursing care is our strength and your assurance

The fundamental principle behind our nursing is to provide individual, targeted and integrated care and support for each individual patient. In order to be able to offer continuous nursing support, we use the principle of primary nursing on the wards, i.e. one member of the nursing staff is responsible for several patients. We emphasise the human touch and personal care of the patient. The relationship of trust whereby the nursing staff represent the direct link with the patient – and very often the channel of expression for their wishes and worries – is an important factor in recovery. Such trust is, however, depends on our staff possessing the necessary human qualities such as care and empathy, as well as the relevant professional qualifications.  We therefore set great store at the St. Elisabeth Hospital on our next generation of nurses who are supported during their training by specially qualified mentors.
In addition to these nursing measures, alternative nursing methods such as Kinaesthetics and Basal Stimulation are also employed. These include a patient-specific perception, movement and communication package as well as the integration of relatives in the early rehabilitation of intensive-care patients.
Positive collaboration within an interdisciplinary team has informed the development and implementation of our mission statement.
