To help in the performance of its tasks, the department has two lightroom workstations for conventional X-ray diagnostics, a digital fluoroscopy workstation, a mammography unit and a computer tomography (CT) unit. Computer topography, in particular, is particularly important in the department. It delivers diagnostic results that are often decisive in the expert treatment of even the most complex conditions and syndromes. It can also be used in the minimally invasive collection of diagnostic tissue samples and in minimally invasive therapeutic measures, e.g. drainage.
Other hospitals in the region without their own computer tomography facilities are also offered the possibility of access to our system. In addition to its inpatients, the department also provides medical care for outpatients and emergency patients.
