The St Elisabeth Hospital Beckum was recently one of the first hospitals in Germany to start to use a new, state-of-the-art urological X-ray workstation developed by Siemens.
A product of close collaboration with urologists, this innovative diagnostic urology X-ray system takes into account the special requirements of this clinical discipline. Its aim is to simplify routine investigations and treatments and improve clinical work processes. The system enables the use of a wide variety of procedures from simple X-rays to complex investigations and operations. The design of the workstation allows the doctor and anaesthetist optimal access to the patient at all times, irrespective of the particular treatment situation. This does away with the need for moving the patient, which can be awkward and unpleasant.

In addition, the department has a further X-ray workstation of its own.
As well as the central operating theatre, the Department of Urology also has access to its own operating theatre for endoscopic operations.
A urodynamic testing unit enables complete functional diagnosis in the area of incontinence therapy.
The latest endoscopic instruments in combination with video endoscopy round out the repertoire of minimally invasive diagnosis and therapy.
